- Normally at least 12 years of total legal experience, including at least 5 years in a senior in-house role
- Material responsibility for legal strategy, governance, risk or a substantial business unit

Full requirements
- General Counsel, Chief Legal Officer, Head of Legal or equivalent senior in-house leader.
- Normally at least 12 years of total legal experience.
- At least five years in a senior in-house leadership role by the end of the Eligibility Period, unless the Awards Oversight Committee approves an exception based on documented circumstances.
- Material responsibility for legal strategy, governance, risk or a substantial business unit.
- Employer consent before public Shortlist announcement.
- Six representative Matters, Initiatives or outcomes.
- Board, chief executive or senior-business reference.
- Team-development and governance evidence.
