• International or Regional Law Firms with a substantive, legally compliant local office and locally based lawyer capability.
• Mandatory eligibility requirements
• At least three years of substantive operation in the country by the end of the Eligibility Period, unless the Awards Oversight Committee approves a shorter period because of a documented merger or market entry.
• At least five practising lawyers substantially based in the country, unless local market structure justifies exceptional review.
• At least three representative Matters substantially led or delivered by the country team.
• Disclosure of local leadership, lawyer headcount, regulated entity or office status and the country team's precise role.
• The firm may not simultaneously enter Regional Law Firm of the Year or Boutique Law Firm of the Year.

Minimum Evidence

• Six representative Matters stating role, complexity, milestone and outcome.
• Two client referees connected to eligible work.
• Country office and team structure, local leadership and capability data.
• Evidence of talent development, institutional progress and contribution to the jurisdiction.
• A publishable 100-word country-impact summary.

• Mandatory eligibility requirements
• Substantive lawyer capability in at least three Middle East or African jurisdictions.
• Permanent local offices or integrated locally regulated associated firms. A referral network alone is insufficient.
• At least six significant cross-border or multi-jurisdictional Matters during the Eligibility Period.
• Evidence of common governance, coordinated delivery, shared standards and regional leadership.
• The firm may not also enter Law Firm of the Year – by Country or Boutique Law Firm of the Year.

Minimum Evidence

• Regional office or entity map and governance explanation.
• Three cross-border Matters showing coordination and precise office roles.
• Two client referees from different jurisdictions.
• Evidence of regional talent development, knowledge systems and service consistency.

• A clear specialist market identity and concentration of work in one or two connected practice areas.
• Substantial partner-led delivery and an identifiable permanent team.
• At least six representative specialist Matters.
• Headcount is relevant context but is not the sole or controlling test.
• The firm may not also enter a country or regional overall firm award.

Minimum Evidence

• Six specialist Matters and outcomes.
• Two client or co-counsel referees.
• Evidence of specialist concentration, team depth and differentiation.
• Evidence of competing successfully against larger firms.

• The entrant must be an identifiable corporate and M&A Practice Group within an eligible Law Firm.
• At least six eligible Matters must be submitted, and at least two must have reached signing, closing or another material milestone during the Eligibility Period.
• The Submission must identify team leadership, core members and the group's precise role.
• The practice must demonstrate collective depth rather than one individual's reputation.

Minimum Evidence

• At least six eligible Matters, of which at least two reached signing, closing or another material milestone during the Eligibility Period.
• Two client referees, or one client and one independent professional referee.

• At least six eligible financing or projects Matters.
• At least three Matters must have closed, reached financial close or achieved a material regulatory or contractual milestone during the Eligibility Period.
• The team must explain its side, role and contribution to risk allocation or execution.

• Client or professional references.

• At least four significant international arbitrations and two additional arbitration-related Matters.
• At least three Matters must have reached a hearing, award, settlement or material procedural milestone during the Eligibility Period.
• The practice must disclose the seat, rules, broad jurisdictional context and precise role where legally permitted.
• Arbitrators may not submit work based on cases in which they sat.
• Confidentiality does not reduce the evidence standard. Redacted and restricted evidence may be used.

Minimum Evidence

• Four significant international arbitrations plus two arbitration-related Matters, with seat, rules and role disclosed where legally permitted.
• Redacted and restricted evidence may be used where confidentiality applies.

• Law Firms, Legal Departments or authorised joint adviser teams. One lead entrant must coordinate a joint Submission.

• The Transaction must have signed, closed, reached financial close or achieved another binding and material milestone during the Eligibility Period.
• The entrant must demonstrate a material connection to an eligible market and its precise role.
• All named co-entrants must consent to joint attribution.
• Transaction size or value alone is insufficient.

• Who may enter or be nominated
• Litigation, arbitration, mediation, adjudication, regulatory enforcement, investigation, public-law proceedings or another genuinely contested legal process may qualify.
• Mandatory eligibility requirements
• The Dispute need not be finally concluded but must have produced a judgment, award, settlement or material and verifiable procedural milestone during the Eligibility Period.
• A win is not mandatory. Legal significance and strategic achievement may justify recognition.
• The entrant must disclose its precise role and authority to submit.
• The Submission must not create a material risk of prejudicing active proceedings.

• Redacted case summary and timeline.
• Judgment, award, order, settlement confirmation or authorised milestone evidence.
• Role map for counsel and Legal Departments.
• Client or authorised professional reference.

• The entry must distinguish personal contribution from the firm's work.

• Use of external counsel is permitted and will be assessed for strategy and value, not penalised.

• The solution must have been implemented, materially expanded or demonstrably adopted during the Eligibility Period.
• Ideas, prototypes without meaningful use and software purchases without implementation are ineligible.
• The entrant must address governance, security, privacy, bias, accuracy and professional-responsibility risks where relevant.

• The Initiative must have operated for at least six months by the end of the Eligibility Period.
• The entrant must identify a baseline problem, objectives, responsible leadership and measurable outcomes.
• Policies, public statements, demographic claims or one-off events without implementation evidence are ineligible.
• Sensitive workforce or participant data must be lawfully collected, proportionate and appropriately anonymised.

Minimum Evidence

• Baseline and outcome data.
• Implementation plan and governance.
• Participant or employee evidence.
• Leadership accountability and sustainability plan.
• Privacy-respecting workforce metrics where relevant.
