One separate potential award for each country that satisfies the activation rules

Eligibility snapshot

  • At least five years of substantive operation in the country
  • At least ten practicing lawyers substantially based in the country
  • At least six representative Matters led or delivered by the country team
  • Two client referees connected to eligible work

Full requirements

  • International or Regional Law Firms with a substantive, legally compliant local office and locally based lawyer capability.
  • At least five years of substantive operation in the country by the end of the Eligibility Period, unless the Awards Oversight Committee approves a shorter period because of a documented merger or market entry.
  • At least ten practicing lawyers substantially based in the country, unless local market structure justifies exceptional review.
  • At least six representative Matters substantially led or delivered by the country team.
  • Disclosure of local leadership, lawyer headcount, regulated entity or office status and the country team's precise role.
  • Six representative Matters stating role, complexity, milestone and outcome.
  • Two client referees connected to eligible work.
  • Country office and team structure, local leadership and capability data.
  • A publishable 100-word country-impact summary.
  • Note: The firm may not simultaneously enter Regional Law Firm of the Year or Boutique Law Firm of the Year.

Activation

Five eligible Submissions and a sufficient number of candidates meeting the required quality threshold. THE LAW may decline to activate any country award.
